Pay rate: $20.00-$30.00 hr
Temp with the possibility of permanent
Job Location: 445 Winn Way, Decatur, GA
Hours: 8:15-5:00, Monday-Friday
In office, 1 telework day after 6 months
GENERAL POSITON DESCRIPTION: Under broad supervision, develops, processes,
approves, and oversees legal contracts for compliance with State Contracting Policy and the
policies of DeKalb Public Health. Monitors performance of assigned contracts.
TYPICAL TASKS:
Serves as job expert or organization resource in assigned area
Processes all Request for New Contracts (RNC) and contracts for bid
Coordinates implementation of contracts
Prepares contracts in compliance with federal and state laws, rules, and regulations and
agency/department requirements
Ensures compliance of contract/project documentation according to established
procedures and record retention requirements
Performs research, evaluation and analysis for monitoring performance for
compliance/non-compliance of contracts
Prepares, processes, and reconciles contract documents
Follow-up with various programs with status updates and requests related to their RNC
requests
May direct/coordinate the procurement process for vendor contracts and services
Maintains the contract log for all division and program contract requests
Takes appropriate actions with regard to contract compliance, progress and corrective
actions
Develops and proposes contracting policies and procedures
Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university AND Two years of contracting-related
experience OR Six years of contracting-related experience OR Two years of experience required
at the lower level Contracts Administrator 2 (LEP031) or equivalent position.
NOTE: Some positions may require area specific certifications/licenses.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Georgia Certified Purchasing Manager Certification (GCPM) or at least two years of government
contracting experience. Knowledge and experience with State Contracting Policy.
