About the Job
The firm has an opening for a Contracts Attorney who will sit in the firm's Finance Department and handle vendor contract review and management.
The Contracts Attorney will work with Finance and business owners to assist in preparing, reviewing, organizing and maintaining agreements relating to a wide range of professional technology services and products, including service agreements, end-user licenses, data privacy agreements, information protection agreements and contracts related to other services and products for use by all departments in the Firm. The Contracts Attorney will coordinate with Information Technology, Office of the General Counsel, Information Security and Talent Departments to confirm that appropriate business requirements are satisfied.
In this capacity, the Contracts Attorney will:
• Prepare, review and maintain contracts, and coordinate negotiations with key stakeholders and vendors;
• Provide detailed, accurate analyses of contract terms and conditions;
• Support proposal review, risk assessment/management, terms, conditions, licensing, service levels, pricing negotiation, and conflict resolution;
• Communicate contractual risk analysis throughout the contract lifecycle;
• Maintain contracts and associated records;
• Provide support to, and work within a team of, technical and administrative professionals, providing guidance on contracts obligations for the life of the contract; and
• Define, develop and implement procurement best practices.
Qualifications:
• JD from an accredited law school;
• 5+ years' of legal contract practice experience;
• Proven negotiation skills;
• Familiarity with cloud-based providers and other technology solutions;
• Familiarity with PII/PCI/PHI;
• Experience crafting and negotiating service level agreements;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to multi-task and remain flexible in a fast-paced work environment; and
• Ability to work with a diverse team of individuals at various professional levels.
This position can be based in one of our offices in California, Chicago, New York, or Washington, D.C. Candidates must be admitted to practice law and in good standing in the jurisdiction where they are hired and where they live.
The salary wage range that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $82,000 and a maximum of $142,000 (annually). The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
