Draft and negotiate favorable contract terms and conditions
Aid in the development and implementation of better processes and procedures as it relates to contract review and administration
Work with field sales personnel and management to increase their awareness of contract risk and compliance requirements with any negotiated contracts and provide solutions to operational issues that may arise as they relate to contract administration
Perform and manage the drafting, review, redlining and negotiation of customer and vendor contracts
Develop and implement strategies to minimize potential risks to Sunbelt as it relates to customer and vendor contracts
Serve as the primary point of contact for all business units on all assigned business and contractual matters
Research complex issues and provide recommendations for resolution
Prepare special reports and data analyses as required
Coordinate all necessary work and approvals with Sunbelt departments to respond to contractual requirements
Communicate with other Sunbelt departments to advise them of special customer and vendor contractual requirements
Mentor other personnel on Contract Team on properly completing paperwork, data entry, and other administrative support for customer and vendor contracts and certain reports.Input information into legal department databases.All other duties as assigned by Supervisor.Requirements:Education & Experience:At least 4 years of contract negotiation related experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts and requirements to non-legal audiences.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, transactional organization that requires quick thinking and juggling multiple items at one timeAble to advise and interact with all levels of Sunbelt's organizationAdvanced prioritization skillsApplicants must exemplify excellent analytical and risk management skills and demonstrate critical thinking, and effective communication skillsComplex understanding of contract terms and contract risk mitigation.Proficient in Microsoft productsKnowledge of Contract Lifecycle Management systems preferredCollege degree preferredPhysical Demands:Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job
Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work
