Control Engineer from Collabera

Must Have:

• 
  
   Chemical engineer with 5-10 years of experience
  
  




• 
  
  Does NOT need to be 10+ years of experience
  
  




• 
  
  Must already be familiar with advanced controls and be able to design them.
  
  


• 
  
  Experience with  Delta V Distributed Control System/Delta V DCS.
  
  




• 
  
  Definition: Software used to control and monitor industrial processes, particularly in factories and manufacturing plants.
  
  




• 
  
  Experience with dynamic model identification using techniques. Could be any of the following:
  
  




• 
  
  Finite Impulse Response (FIR)
  
  


• 
  
  SubSpace (SS) Identification
  
  


• 
  
  Autoregressive-Exogenous (ARX)
  
  




• 
  
  Inferential centers - is big
  
  

DayToDay Responsbilities:

1. 
   
   Define the scope of the controller, identify variables, and create process models.
   
   


2. 
   
   Understand the controller's purpose, determine operation team's needs, and schedule testing to evaluate impacts.
   
   


3. 
   
   Use algorithms to develop dynamic models, compare them to process data, and tune the controller.
   
   


4. 
   
   Connect the controller to the DCS, ensure logical consistency, and conduct thorough testing with gradual adjustments.
   
   


5. 
   
   Optimize performance based on expected outcomes and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
