What You’ll Do:
As the Control Room Supervisor, you’ll work closely with the Pharmacist-in-Charge to oversee pharmacy operations that support safe, efficient, and effective medication management for our customers. You’ll lead a talented team of pharmacy technicians, drive workflow improvements, and ensure our high standards are consistently met. People-Focused Leadership
- Create and manage team schedules to align with department needs and maintain service continuity.
- Oversee attendance and time-off requests, ensuring that records are up-to-date and accurate.
- Participate in staff coaching, training, and annual reviews; foster a culture of support and development.
- Communicate across departments to coordinate workflows, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth transitions between shifts.
Pharmacy Operations
- Leverage advanced pharmacy systems (Framework, DocuTrack) to support accurate order entry, dispensing, and verification processes.
- Conduct thorough clinical and regulatory checks during pharmacist verification stages to maintain compliance and safety.
- Supervise sterile and non-sterile compounding processes, ensuring quality, precision, and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Assist with inventory management, including controlled substances handling and accurate record-keeping.
Customer Support & Quality Assurance
- Serve as a key resource for clients and provide guidance on drug therapy options and medication administration.
- Resolve customer inquiries and support cross-departmental initiatives related to billing and compliance.
- Perform daily audits, monitor controlled substances, and respond proactively to any discrepancies.
What You Bring
- Pharmacy Expertise: You hold a degree in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred) and are licensed in the State of Maryland.
- Leadership Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a licensed pharmacist, ideally in long-term care (LTC) pharmacy or a similar healthcare setting.
- Tech Savvy: You’re proficient in pharmacy systems and Microsoft Office for managing operational data and reporting.
- Collaborative Approach: You’re a strong communicator and problem-solver who thrives in a team-focused environment.
- Physical Requirements
This role involves lifting up to 40 lbs. and the ability to stand or work on a computer for extended periods during your shift.
