Job Summary: Safely works on a variety of control system projects; providing hardware and software design, development, integration, testing, and installation support as part of the local project team. Takes direction and seeks guidance from the assigned project leads, the company directors, and principals.
Technical Responsibilities:
- Gain experience in Human Machine Interface (HMI) application development expertise.
- Develop basic troubleshooting skills.
- Accumulate field experience.
- Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft operating systems and Office tools.
- Gain experience in the use of Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) tools.
- Gain experience in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs.
- Demonstrate the ability to assist other project members during system installation and commissioning.
- Possess and apply strong hands-on mechanical capabilities.
Quality Control Responsibilities:
- Practice procedures outlined in the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) on a daily basis.
- Demonstrate the ability to proof-read self-generated documentation.
Design Responsibilities:
- Gain experience to perform basic control system design and review with guidance from others.
- Gain basic understanding of electrical and mechanical system design.
- Develop basic understanding of Information Technology (IT) systems, network infrastructures, and computer system design, as it relates to control system integration.
Customer and Project Management Responsibilities:
- Communicate in an effective, positive, and proactive manner with customers.
- Complete assigned tasks accurately, on schedule, and under budget.
- Understand the scope of work assigned to you, identify when issues arise that are beyond that scope, and communicate those issues to the assigned project lead.
Mentoring and Training Responsibilities:
- Actively seek knowledge from senior staff members.
- Maintain open and direct communication with senior staff members.
- Independently study, outside of work, to become familiar with the technologies being used.
- Be a self-starter, and spend the extra time and energy required to develop the skill set necessary to advance career.
- Maintain professional relations with co-workers, offer assistance to co-workers when possible, ask for help and guidance from co-workers when necessary, and always treat co-workers with respect.
Work authorization/Other requirements:
- Proof of eligibility to work in the country where the position is located is required.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Fit for Duty at all times.
