Are you passionate about designing control systems that bring precision and stability to complex machinery? Do you excel at developing algorithms that optimize performance and enable seamless automation? If you’re ready to create control systems that power cutting-edge technology, our client has the perfect role for you. We’re looking for a Control Systems Engineer (aka The Precision Controller) to design, test, and implement control strategies that drive precision and efficiency.
As a Control Systems Engineer at our client, you’ll collaborate with engineering teams to develop control algorithms, implement control hardware, and test systems to ensure optimal performance. Your expertise in control theory and automation will be essential in creating systems that respond accurately to dynamic conditions and achieve high performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Implement Control Algorithms:
- Develop and program control algorithms for mechanical, electrical, or robotic systems to achieve precise, stable operation. You’ll work with tools like MATLAB and Simulink to model and simulate control strategies.
- Analyze System Dynamics and Stability:
- Perform dynamic analysis to understand system behavior and response. You’ll calculate stability margins, frequency responses, and sensitivity to ensure robust performance under varying conditions.
- Develop and Calibrate PID and Advanced Controllers:
- Design and tune PID, adaptive, or model-based controllers as required by system specifications. You’ll optimize controller parameters for responsiveness, accuracy, and minimal oscillation.
- Integrate Sensors, Actuators, and Control Hardware:
- Work with various sensors and actuators to gather real-time data and execute control actions. You’ll select and configure hardware, ensuring that components integrate seamlessly with control systems.
- Collaborate on System Testing and Validation:
- Conduct testing and validation to confirm that control systems meet design requirements and perform under real-world conditions. You’ll troubleshoot and fine-tune systems to achieve consistent results.
- Document Control Designs and Testing Protocols:
- Create detailed documentation of control algorithms, design decisions, and testing results. You’ll ensure that each system has clear technical records for future reference and troubleshooting.
- Stay Updated on Control and Automation Trends:
- Keep current with the latest advancements in control theory, automation, and hardware. You’ll evaluate new methods, tools, and technologies to maintain cutting-edge control capabilities.
