Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Controls Electrician to fill an opening with a manufacturing company located in Holland, MI

Requirements of the Controls Electrician

• 3 years of experience in a plant manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in PLC , HMI Programming / troubleshooting (Allen-Bradly)
  • Proficiency in robot programming and troubleshooting
  • Experience in MES systems (GE proficy preferred)
• CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Lean Black Belt, Six Sigma Black Belt, or PMP certification preferred.
  • Experience with various problem solving techniques such as Six Sigma, 8D, etc.
  • Proven project management, planning, scheduling and prioritizing skills to meet goals.
  • Basic ability to read electrical, mechanical and hydraulic prints.

Responsibilities of the Controls Electrician

• Program and troubleshoot PLC controls and HMIs for proper function.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Modify and develop electrical and electronic drawings (AutoCAD) for equipment and facilities following standard drawing and electrical practices.
  • Lead verification of electrical safety in equipment design for equipment launch.
  • Keep equipment electrical drawings current and accurate.
  • Resolve equipment stoppage and downtown problems and perform root cause failure analysis.
  • Oversee and direct outside contractors as required.
  • Keep equipment operational by working with maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established
