Job Details
Responsibilities:
Lead all accounting activities, including payables, receivables, ledger management, asset tracking, payroll, and financial reporting.
Facilitate financial updates for leadership and selected external stakeholders.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting.
Establish and monitor financial benchmarks and reporting standards on a recurring basis.
Prepare internal financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, along with customized reports for the organization.
Support implementation of cost accounting requirements for specific contracts.
Ensure accuracy and reliability in financial analysis and key performance metrics for internal use and external reporting.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants for audits and tax preparation.
Enforce internal controls to protect company assets, policies, and workflows.
Manage cash flow to support operational needs.
Maintain compliance through up-to-date accounting policies and procedures.
Review accounting systems and processes regularly to ensure operational efficiency.
Support assessment and deployment of ERP solutions.
Additional Qualifications:
Strong strategic thinking, financial analysis, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
Skilled in communicating with senior leaders.
Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing demands.
High attention to detail, with strong ethical standards and integrity.
Education and Experience Requirements:
CPA and a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting or Finance.
8+ years of experience in accounting and finance.
Background in government contract accounting and compliance standards preferred.
Proficiency in U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and ERP/accounting systems.
Experience in high-growth environments preferred.
Ability to manage and build teams.
