Controller at KBW Financial

KBW Financial has partnered with a rapidly growing telecommunications client to identify an Interim Controller. The Interim Controller will be responsible overseeing and managing the daily accounting and financial reporting functions, reconcile and produce month end financial statements and assist with special projects. Our client is looking to interview and hire ASAP.

• Oversee large capital projects
• Maintain internal controls
• Analyze and interpret financial results and ensure GAAP compliance
• Prepare month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reports for management and investors.
• Prepare month-end and year-end closings with associated journal entries
• Work with management team to prepare annual budgets and forecasts
• Manage, train and coach accounting personnel
• Oversee and participate in payroll functions, A/P, and A/R when necessary
• Ensure proper tax records are maintained including sales and use taxes, property taxes
• Maintain fixed assets
• Manage accruals, account and bank reconciliations
• Manage and review contracts for insurance, customers and vendors
• Prepare for and assist with annual audit 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, public accounting experience preferred, CPA or MBA a plus
• 5+ years accounting and finance experience with experience being in a leadership position within accounting or finance 
• 3+ years Supervisory experience
• Demonstrated competency in accounting principles; Strong knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS
• Advanced working knowledge of systems and Excel
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with an aptitude for problem-solving
• Strong financial analysis skills, excellent use of logic
• Demonstrated success in developing and managing processes
