Controller - Ledgent Finance & Accounting

Our client in the Atlanta area is seeking a Controller for a Full-Time Direct-Hire role. This is a hybrid position.

The Financial Controller oversees all accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and audits as well as management of a regional team responsible for AP, AR, payroll, and grants accounting. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller ensures effective management of financial systems, internal controls, and regulatory processes.

Responsibilities:

·Lead strategic planning and goal setting for financial operations.

·Develop and maintain comprehensive financial data for strategic decision-making.

·Prepare and issue financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.

·Provide financial analyses to support organizational planning.

·Develop and mentor accounting team members to build capacity.

·Conduct regular team meetings to ensure effective communication.

·Hold team members accountable for performance goals and metrics.

·Ensure timely payment of accounts payable.

·Oversee bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.

·Manage endowment account reconciliation on a monthly basis.

·Ensure prompt collection of grants and accounts receivable.
