Controller - King & Bishop

Our client, a specialist in developing advanced detection technologies to enhance public safety, has an immediate opening for a Controller. This role is instrumental in establishing and enhancing accounting processes including financial planning and analysis function.Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations, including General Ledger, Tax, Audit, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Capital Expenses, and Fixed Assets
• Manage monthly closings, consolidations, and preparation of consolidated financial results
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP accounting policies and procedures
• Safeguard company assets by establishing and maintaining corporate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Lead and manage the year-end external audit process in coordination with local finance teams
• Interact directly with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process
• Lead the annual budgeting and long-range financial planning process, updating monthly rolling forecasts
• Prepare annual and quarterly financial reporting dashboards
• Provide ongoing financial and analytical support
• Other responsibilities as required

Requirements:

• Proven experience in accounting, internal controls, and financial planning and analysis
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with using QuickBooks is a plus
