Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of accounting, financial statements, general ledger, payroll, accounts payable,accounts receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and various special analyses.
- Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, project budgets, and actual expenditures.
- Coordinate all audit activities.
- Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of the company's financial status.
- Assist company leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and compare actual results to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate.
- Oversee all financial project/program accounting; ensure that expenditures are consistently aligned with project budgets.
- Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems.
- Solve problems, teach, coach, and support the financial team, serving as an expert advisor.
- Understand the direction of the company, the options we face, and how to improve our profitability and overall success.
- Financial Modeling
- Develop and present opportunities to private investors
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting and finance experience, at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience with residential construction accounting or in a related industry preferred.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with construction enterprise resource software such as MarkSystems is a plus.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
Compensation:
- $150,000 + based on experience.
