About the Job
Tatum is engaged with a Family Office Fund Management company to identify their first Controller. In this role you will be responsible for managing the "Generational Wealth" as well as providing supervision of a third-party fund administrators involved in recording and reconciling transactions within the portfolio management and accounting system. Along with the day-to-day Accounting, Budgeting and Forecasting responsibilities you will also see over Tax, & Auditing.

responsibilities:
- Actively contribute to the preparation of historical investment performance analyses, financial statements, and reports
- Analyzes financial data and provides forecasting reports
- Coordinates and liaises with external tax professionals; ensures timely and accurate filing of tax returns especially K-1 dissemination.
- Ensures fund administrator(s) closes fiscal year financials and reports in a timely fashion in anticipation of annual audits of required entities.
- Provides oversight of the Fund Administrator(s) responsible for the preparation of the financial statements, capital account statements, capital calls and distribution notices.
- Assists in the preparation of LP specific reporting and responses to prospective client RFPs.
qualifications:
- CPA
- Proven ability to work in a nimble and small/developing company environment
- Expert Level QB Enterprise & Excel experience
- Industry Experience: financial services/investment services/broker dealer/fund management services background
- FP&A Background
- Private company audit experience/Fair Market Value experience
- Ambition to become the CFO and put in the work effort to get there and prove themselves
- Commitment to getting FINRA Series 28 License preferred
- Experience in private equity sponsor organizations
- Must be in office 5 days a week, Downtown Dallas area
