Controller
LOC Credit Union, a full-service financial institution, is looking for a Controller who is responsible for managing the daily operations of the accounting department including, but not limited to, overseeing the staff, making sure department policies and procedures follow rules, regulations and GAAP, and all additional responsibilities, which are required in order to ensure a successful business day.

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Final review and approval of general ledgers and reconciliations, month end closing entries, and financial statements through preparation of the monthly Board reporting.
- Member of the Investment Committee.
- Oversee all investment activity and make sure funds are sent and received timely, including final approval and balancing of monthly activity.
- Oversee quarterly ALM inputs and reports, including analysis and adherence to policy guidelines.
- Assist in preparation of departmental and organizational budgets and variance reports.
- Approve and oversee all accounts receivable/payable activities, including cost monitoring, corporate Visa statements, fixed assets, prepaids, and accruals.
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of regulatory and governmental reports.
- Responsible for assisting auditors, examiners, Credit Union committees and other special interest groups as necessary.
- Responsible for the integrity of all financial and statistical records of and relating to the Credit Union.
- Assist with special projects, cost analysis and profitability of branches, products, services and membership.
- Prepare proposals for product/service improvement or recommendations of new products/services.
- Follow all policies and procedures of Bank Secrecy Act, (BSA) Anti-Money Laundering and Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC). Complete annual testing as required.
- Monitor and ensure the accounting staff is adhering to the Credit Union's policies and procedures.
- Follow established policies and procedures of the Credit Union; reliable and dependable to promote member service and satisfaction.
- Consistently adhere to the Manager's Code of Conduct.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- This individual must have proficient computer, communication and organizational skills.
- Detail oriented ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Full understanding of the department operations and what is required to run a successful department.
- Expected high level of trust and ability to maintain confidentiality with information.
Experience/education:
- College degree in accounting/finance/business or the equivalent in experience with increasing degrees of responsibility (required)
- Financial institution experience of 4 years or more (preferred)
- More than 3 years in leadership/management role including employee development (preferred)
- Experience leading and managing a project team (preferred)
