Controller - Tandym

A national company looking to add a new Controller to join their team in Fort Lauderdale.

Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements including but not limited to monitoring progress against the closing schedule, analyzing detailed transactions posted to various general ledger accounts and taking corrective action where required
Lead financial processes and provide solutions: Manage the daily management processes for intercompany accounts, clearing accounts, elimination entries in response to changes in corporate structure and review the accuracy of information, analyzes results, and takes corrective action where necessary
Oversee financial business practices and mitigate risk: Supervise general ledger, bank reconciliation, account reconciliation and analysis for all general ledger accounts performed by accounting staff by ensuring that valid supporting documentation exists for each transfer, and that all transfers are recorded in the general ledger accurately on a timely basis
Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting and finance
6+ years of progressive work experience and two years supervisory experience
Detailed knowledge and experience with the preparation and review of financial statements
Strong analytical skills, strong written and verbal communication skills and high degree of multi-tasking skills and attention to detail
