Job Details
- Oversee all accounting operations, including GL, Accounts Payable and JIB, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of all monthly financial information.
- Lead the ERP implementation process, ensuring a smooth transition and efficient use of the system for all financial processes.
- Conduct detailed revenue accounting for our upstream oil and gas operations.
- Collaborate with management in setting financial goals and making strategic decisions.
- Prepare year-end close and coordinate with external auditors for the annual audit.
- Develop and maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions, ensuring the integrity of our financial data.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and present these to senior management.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights that will help the leadership make informed decisions.
- Coordinate with other departments to streamline financial processes and ensure the financial health of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA certification is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the energy sector.
- Extensive experience with ERP implementation, monthly reporting, and closing processes.
- Deep understanding of the oil and gas industry, particularly in upstream operations.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and negotiations.
- Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to manage a team and collaborate with other departments.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey financial information to non-financial colleagues.
- High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- Proficiency in using financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity with external accounting operations and revenue accounting.
