Controller (Insurance Industry Experience Required)

Location: Atlanta, GA

Salary Range: $200,000 - $215,000 Bonus

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Department: Finance

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead the financial operations of our dynamic insurance company in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will possess both strong technical accounting skills and proven experience managing system integrations and manual accounting processes. T

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Leadership:
• Lead and oversee all accounting operations including AR/AP, general ledger, payroll, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
• Ensure the accuracy of financial data and timely completion of financial statements in compliance with GAAP.

Qualifications:

• Education & Certification:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA is required.

Experience:

• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in accounting or financial management, with at least 3-5 years at a Controller level.
• Proven experience in the insurance industry is a must.
• Demonstrated experience managing financial system integrations and leading teams through transitions.

Skills & Competencies:

• Ability to handle high-volume financial operations and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with experience building and leading finance teams.
• High proficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and budget management.
• Strong analytical skills and detail orientation with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
