About the role
As the Controller of PHM, you'll own the accounting function for a rapidly growing healthcare services firm. You'll use your public and private company accounting experience to play a key role in overseeing all aspects of our accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, driving audit readiness, and developing policies.

How You'll Spend Your Days
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, cash management, and financial reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements), ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate and manage external audits and work closely with auditors to ensure compliance.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Manage tax compliance and coordinate with external tax advisors.
- Assist the CFO in developing and managing financial policies and procedures.
- Stay current with industry trends and changes in financial regulations that impact the healthcare industry.
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor's degree with an active CPA is required.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with 3+ years of department leadership experience
- Expertise in GAAP, healthcare finance, and regulatory requirements.
- You're a great business partner to company and department leaders in planning, monitoring, and amending department budgets.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, you're equally comfortable presenting financial information to expert and ley audiences.
- Technological fluency.
- Bonus points: Public & private company experience, 3rd party auditing experience, deep healthcare expertise, knowledge of Sage Intacct.

Compensation: The target base salary for this position is $165,000-$200,000.
This base salary is only a part of a total compensation package that also includes: health/dental/vision benefits, 401k with match, PTO and other benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range as a number of factors including market forces, experience, location, disparities in market data and other relevant business considerations may all factor into final compensation.
This is a remote role requiring that you live in one of the states where we currently have business operations: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, MA, MI, MO, NJ, NC, NM, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, WA.
