A South Bay healthcare company is looking for a Controller to join their team. In this role, the Controller will be responsible for overseeing month-end close, financial reporting, project work with financial systems, and leading the audit. To be successful in this role, the Controller should be collaborative, systems-savvy, and a team player. What do you need for this Controller role?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- 15+ years of accounting experience, 10+ years of experience as a manager
- CPA or CMA highly preferred
- MUST have healthcare and/or distribution experience
- Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP.
- Provide insightful analysis of financial results to senior management and external stakeholders.
- Monitor cash flow projections and manage working capital effectively.
- Implement strategies to optimize cash flow and liquidity.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and manage the annual audit process.
- Liaise with external auditors and oversee tax compliance and reporting.
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the ERP system and ensure accurate financial data management and reporting capabilities.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
