Delaware County Community College (DCCC), located outside of the Philadelphia Metro area, is looking for a talented, dynamic, and multi-functional Controller for the Office Finance & Administration to join our team of diverse higher education professionals who are committed to student success.
The Controller will provide oversight, guidance, and coordination for several areas of the College including general accounting, grants, accounts payable, and fixed asset functions. This position will also be responsible for providing financial planning/management and disseminating financial reports, statements, and results, monitoring investment performance, and assisting with the external audit process.
The successful candidate must have the ability to adjust quickly and effectively to changing conditions and demands, recognizes opportunities, initiates actions to capitalize on them to make an impact, and possesses high attention to detail with a track record of producing work that is highly accurate. This individual must exhibit sound judgment about when to take action and when to seek guidance. The selected candidate will be a morale builder, coach, mentor, and accountable team leader, model maturity, encourage collaboration and demonstrate respect for others.
Qualified candidates will have strong progressive leadership style with a spirit for fostering collaboration in a team environment is required. Demonstrated experience supervising direct reports across a range of finance and accounting area, to include budget, grants, accounts payable, and general accounting. Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or Finance required. A minimum of five (5+) years’ experience in accounting from an accredited institution required. Active CPA designation preferred; Banner experience preferred; public accounting experience preferred. Experience working in a college/non-profit environment preferred
