About the Role
Washington REALTORS® is seeking a Controller to manage all day-to-day financial operations of this 501(c)(6) organization, with a current staff of 20 employees. The Controller will be responsible for directing overall accounting and finances, managing cash flow and investments, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, conducting financial analyses, budgeting, and forecasting, and overseeing employee payroll and benefits. The Controller will serve as a key member of the senior management team, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer. They will also serve as a staff financial liaison to the Executive Committee and the Finance Committee. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- At least 7 years of progressively responsible financial work experience, including full month-end and year-end reporting, auditing, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, income tax, and banking knowledge.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Excel spreadsheet and Sage 100 accounting software.
- Ability to confidently and clearly present and translate financial information to audiences of 30 or more individuals with varying levels of financial expertise.
- Ability to prioritize and successfully perform multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
- High attention to detail.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time, exempt position with a full salary range of $88,000 to $130,000 per year. Starting salary is DOE, but please note that new hires will be placed between the minimum and the midpoint of this range, which is between $88,000 and $109,000 per year.

Work Location
This position is hybrid, based in Olympia, Washington, with a minimum requirement of 3 days per week in the office. This position requires travel to statewide meetings twice annually, as well as attendance at the Executive and Finance Committee meetings, and various other meetings.
