Key Responsibilities

• Financial Management: Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Project Accounting: Manage project accounting processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and tracking project costs to ensure profitability.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial statements, reports, and analyses to senior management and stakeholders.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry best practices.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the accounting team, promoting professional development and a collaborative work environment.
• System Management: Utilize Sage 300 for financial management and reporting, ensuring effective use of the software across the team.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and monitor annual budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Audit Coordination: Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing any audit findings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• 4 years of experience in accounting management or as a Controller, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong experience with Sage 300 for financial management and reporting.
• Proven expertise in project accounting and cost control.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
