Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Controller with a strong background in manufacturing and private equity environments. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of progressive accounting experience, extensive knowledge of NetSuite, and a proven track record of driving financial efficiency and accuracy. This role is critical in overseeing all accounting operations and ensuring the financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Private Equity Experience:
- Collaborate with private equity partners and stakeholders, providing financial insights and reports.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with private equity requirements.
- Lead financial due diligence, valuations, and integration processes for acquisitions or divestitures.
- NetSuite Expertise:
- Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of NetSuite ERP system.
- Ensure accurate and efficient data management, reporting, and system integrations.
- Provide training and support to accounting staff on NetSuite functionalities and updates.
- Manufacturing Industry Focus:
- Manage cost accounting processes, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory management.
- Oversee capital expenditure tracking, depreciation schedules, and asset management.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency.
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support company-wide initiatives and financial objectives.
- Drive process improvements and automation efforts to enhance accounting operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on manufacturing and private equity environments.
- Extensive experience with NetSuite ERP system.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
