job summary:

Direct Hire opportunity with a Tatum client needing a Controller to work in a Hybrid business model in the DFW metroplex Texas. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial company background working for businesses with a high volume of transactions with a revenue size of $10 -$50 million in revenue size. The company provides software & hardware to small restaurants and has decided to move the Controller position to Texas.

responsibilities:

• Responsibility for monthly financial reporting Quickbooks Online
• Design, develop and maintain accounting policies, practices, and procedures with a strong internal control framework.
• Report to CEO and Fractional CFO
• Lead the accounting organization in process improvements to gain greater efficiency and accuracy while meeting deadlines. Great at rolling up your sleeves, while teaching your team.
• "Roll up sleeves" and dive into any issue or complete any task, no matter how small or large, to achieve an excellent outcome.
• Serve as a key resource and advisor to the CFO and company management around initiatives, activities, or processes with an impact on the business's financial well-being.

 
qualifications:

• Must be local to DFW, Texas
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with public accounting experience preferred
• Prior experience in entrepreneurial environments with a large number of small companies customers and high volume of transactions
• Must have Hands-on expertise with Quickbooks Online
• Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 5 - 7 years of related experience
• Must have 2+ years experience working at the Assistant Controller level or higher
• Must be strong in MS Excel
• GAAP knowledge, CPA or CMA required
