We are seeking a seasoned and driven Permanent Controller to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This is an unparalleled opportunity to take charge of financial operations within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. This position requires a hands-on professional with a strong understanding of the construction industry and a proven track record in strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and GAAP.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
2. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
3. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
4. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
5. Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
6. Support month-end and year-end close process.
7. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
8. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
9. Additional controller duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably in the construction industry.
3. ERP experience
4. Proven working experience as a Financial Controller.
5. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
6. Experience with creating financial statements.
7. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
8. Must have strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, and GAAP.
9. Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
10. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
11. Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
12. A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
13. Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
