Summary
The Controller will play a key role in leading the ongoing growth and expansion of the company through management of all accounting functions and systems and driving the vision of the company’s senior management throughout the accounting team and operations. The position is responsible for managing and developing the accounting team. Additionally, the position is responsible for internal controls, financial statements, budgeting, cash management, and other accounting oversight functions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Accounting Functions
- Establish and assure compliance to accounting policies (GAAP).
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
- Prepare and monitor the annual budgeting process.
- Preparations of all financial statements.
- Serve as the primary liaison with the companies CPA firm.
- Ensure proper regulatory reporting requirements are being met.
- Special projects as assigned related to Accounting projects may be assigned as required by the business.
Treasure Management
- Monitor and Manage Cash Flow
- Assist with banking relationships.
- Monitor debt covenants.
Financial Analysis
- Provide financial analysis to corporate departments as needed to support their respective functions.
Information Systems
- Oversee and manage the Sage Intacct accounting system.
- Continue work of integrating ancillary systems to the Sage Intacct system.
- Liaise with other departments on implementation of software systems to ensure compliance with accounting requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting, or related field
- Eight or more years of experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager
- Professional certification, such as CPA (certified public accountant) or CA (chartered accountant)
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.

- Valid US driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cost/buildup accounting.
- Experience in tourism is preferred.
- Broad technical knowledge of Accounting functions & processes.
