Our client, an Alaskan family-owned tour operator, is looking for a Controller to join their team. The Controller will be driving the company's growth by overseeing all accounting functions across multiple entities, aligning the accounting team with senior management's vision, and managing internal controls, financial statements, budgeting, and cash management. They will also lead and develop the accounting team.

Controller Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Develop and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
• Lead the annual budgeting process.
• Prepare financial statements.
• Act as the main liaison with the CPA firm.
• Ensure regulatory reporting compliance.
• Manage and monitor cash flow.
• Support banking relationships and monitor debt covenants.
• Provide financial analysis to support various corporate departments.
• Oversee the Sage Intacct accounting system and integrate additional software.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure software systems meet accounting standards.

Controller Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of senior-level experience in accounting or finance.
• CPA or CA certification preferred.
• Experience in cost/buildup accounting, and a background in the tourism or manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting functions and processes.
• Strong commitment to customer service and effective communication with guests, coworkers, and vendors.

Compensation: $120K - $150K+ (DOE), with profit-sharing
