About the Job
CONTROLLER
In this position, you will be accountable for accounting operations of the company and related companies, including review and production of financial reports in a timely manner, and maintenance of controls and budgets.
In this role you will…
- Manage accounting staff
- Perform financial analysis of company financial statements and reports
- Prepare group consolidations and the monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget
- Manage and process general ledger activities
- Complete timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and yearly close out
- Direct annual audited financial statement activities, acting as liaison with accounting firm.
- Maintain equipment and property depreciation schedules.
- Obtain knowledge of other accounting / finance roles including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, and Job Cost.
As the ideal candidate you…
- Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Preferred 5-7 years of experience in General Ledger accounting with progressively more demanding and responsible experience.
- Must have the following designation: Certified Public Accountant
- Have construction industry experience (a plus).
- Have multi-company consolidation experience (a plus).
- Have a comprehensive understanding of financial statements and general ledger accounting and Generally Accepted Accounted Principles.
- Have previous office clerical experience (a plus).
- Can type 35 WPM.
- Have basic knowledge working with Microsoft Office and Outlook, Internet, and Microsoft Dynamics (experience a plus).
- Demonstrate good customer service skills and professional phone skills.
- Exhibit superior attention to detail.
- Exhibit excellent organization skills.
- Can preferably complete 10-Key by touch.

- An Office environment, but overnight travel extending up to a week may be necessary.
- Periodic weekend or evening work as duties dictate.
