About the Job
Park Aerospace Technologies Corp. is seeking a Controller to oversee accounting functions.Based in Newton, KS, theController is responsible for the general accounting functions for the business unit including the weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly close, internal reporting and general banking/cash management. Reporting to the Corporate Controller at the Company's East Coast headquarters, the individual will oversee all operations for the business unit in connection with financial matters including accounts receivable, accounts payable, accruals, inventory, billing, collections, payroll, auditing and assisting with the development of the business unit forecasts.
The Controller is also responsible for advocating the Company's culture, training and supervision of staff, developing and initiating systems, policies and procedures for transacting financial matters.Ensures that the financial system is accurate, efficient and in accordance with professional accounting practices, governmental regulations andthe corporationspolicies and procedures.
Minimum 4 year degree in finance/accounting or its equivalent and 5 to 10 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience in accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, income tax and banking).
Must have experienceworking ina manufacturing environment and with public accounting
High degree of proficiency in handling detailed information and the timely processing of that information.
Team-oriented with the ability to communicate successfully to a diverse group of individuals.
Highly organized, detail-oriented and accurate.
Ability to perform and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to handle stressful situations and work well under pressure.
Ability to maintain confidentiality with highly sensitive information.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
