Selectek is seeking a Controls Engineer for a direct hire position with our partnering company located near Allentown, Pennsylvania. Candidates will be primarily programming PLCs and developing motion control systems. This client works heavily in the food and beverage packaging industry and is seeking experienced engineers for this role.
Expected Salary Range: $70,000-$100,000
Location: Allentown, PA
Job Details:
- Program PLC systems from scratch for optimal performance and troubleshoot operatic logic when required
- Develop detailed control systems for complex machines
- Specify all electrical components for power distribution, PLCs, I/O, motion control and communication
- Create electrical schematics in 2D format
- Design and layout industrial electronic panels
- Travel to job sites when necessary for installation, commission, and startup of designed machinery
Job Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment
- 3+ years of experience writing and troubleshooting code in RSLogix, Studio 5000, or FactoryTalk
- BSEE preferred, but candidates with a technical college degree and field experience will also be considered
- Proficiency in PLC programming with Rockwell or Allen Bradley software
- Experience with motion control automation
- Working knowledge of complex electrical panel and wiring design in AutoCAD
