We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Electrical Contracting industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading-edge company where you will play a crucial role in servicing our customer's needs and developing our automation systems. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Designing, programming, and testing automation systems.
2. Developing and implementing PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and HMI (Human Machine Interface) systems.
3. Using AutoCAD to create electrical schematics and layouts for new and existing equipment.
4. Collaborating with the engineering team to troubleshoot and solve control-related issues.
5. Providing technical support and training to the production and maintenance teams.
6. Evaluating and improving existing automation systems and proposing innovative solutions to increase productivity.
7. Ensuring all work adheres to industry standards and safety regulations.
8. Supporting electrical contracting and overseeing the installation of control systems.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Controls Engineer position should possess the following qualifications:
1. BS/MS Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with automation controls, PLC, and HMI.
4. Experience with electrical contracting.
5. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and electrical systems.
6. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
9. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
