Introduction
Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Controls Engineer position. This position is a direct hire opportunity which is expected to be on-site in Cocoa, Florida 32926.
The Controls Engineer will be responsible for
- Designing and developing control systems and strategies to meet project requirements
- Collaborating with project managers & engineers to ensure project completion within given timeline and budget
- Performing system diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and correct issues in real-time
- Conducting system simulations and testing to ensure functionality and performance
- Developing specifications and detailed documentation for control system design
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Programming and configuring PLC based systems
- Providing training and technical support to maintenance staff and users
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest technology trends in control engineering
- Understanding and implementing designs from technical drawings, schematics and circuit diagrams
- Interacting with contractors and customers using verbal and written communication
- Making presentations to clients and coworkers Developing product documentation and records
- Assist in the design and budgeting of electrical and wiring systems
- Assemble and test electrical equipment necessary for the system
- Fundamental electrical engineering skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Occasional site visits for project installations or consultations
- Professional self-starter
- Positive attitude
- Professionally engage staffing at all levels
