Selectek is seeking a talented and experienced Controls Engineer in Conyers, GA to join a leader in the Paper and Packaging Industry. In this full-time role, you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth operations and driving efficiency through your expertise in controls, instrumentation, and electrical engineering.

What you'll do:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade PLC systems, keeping our operations running at peak performance.
- Collaborate with the Electrical Maintenance department to tackle complex electrical issues and provide engineering support.
- Own the electrical and controls aspects of Power Generation Plant capital projects. This includes managing contractors, planning timelines, evaluating costs, researching ROI, and actively participating in project execution.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, install, and repair instrumentation and control valves.
- Provide general support for all electrical and automation systems.
- Manage budgets for your areas of responsibility and assigned capital projects.
- Contribute to the maintenance department's goals of minimizing downtime.
Who you are:
- Hold a Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Controls Engineering, OR an Associate's Degree with relevant controls experience.
- Possess at least 5 years of experience in Power Generation or a similar field.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of pressure, flow, and temperature transmitter theory and application, especially related to boiler controls.
- Thrive in an on-call rotation environment.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety and adhere to all safety rules and practices.
Bonus points for:
- Being a self-motivated go-getter with a passion for minimizing downtime and optimizing process and equipment efficiency.
- Experience with fluidized bed boilers.
- Proficiency in Allen Bradley Control Logix, Micro Logix, and PLC5 systems.
