We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Permanent Engineer II to join our team in the Construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to bring their expertise in project management, leadership, and various technical skills to a thriving and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and computer engineering with a focus on industrial controls, AC motors, and electrical modeling. This position demands a high level of responsibility, technical knowledge, and leadership skills. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Engineer I, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Managing and overseeing various construction projects, ensuring they are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
2. Leading and mentoring a team of engineers and other technical professionals.
3. Developing and interpreting controls schematic and P&ID.
4. Designing and implementing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
5. Working with industrial controls and AC motors.
6. Creating and updating electrical models.
7. Ensuring all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
8. Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
9. Identifying potential issues and devising solutions to mitigate risks.
10. Continually improving processes and systems to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
2. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
3. Proven experience in project management and team leadership.
4. Advanced knowledge of controls schematic, P&ID, pneumatic, hydraulic, and industrial controls.
5. Proficiency in working with AC motors and electrical modeling.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. The ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
9. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
10. The ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
11. A valid engineering license is preferred.
