Position Description

Seeking a Controls Engineer for a full-time, direct hire position.

The Controls Engineer will ensure that the plant is running smoothly and efficiently while also meeting quality and safety standards. He or she will also be responsible for implementing and maintaining processes that help the Company increase productivity for the plant. The Controls Engineer will required to be adaptable, and find creative solutions to problems as they arise and assist in the implementation of predictive maintenance plans. He or she must be able to analyze plant processes and help make improvements based on their extensive knowledge of electronics, engineering, and mechanics.

Responsibilities:

* Analyze plant processes, design and implement improvements.
* Troubleshooting controls related issues with hardware and processes.
* Plan preventative maintenance.
* Work with others to detect problems and implement solutions.
* Maintain quality and safety standards are upheld.

Primary Skills Required

* Technical proficiency in some software applications such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Word* The ability to program/write code/ladder logic from scratch* Prior experience with automotive manufacturing integration* Prior experience programming within customer-defined standards and templates* Strong cause-effect analytical abilities to solve problems* Excellent communication skills

Primary Skills Preferred

Education Required

* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering preferred

* 3+ years of Controls Engineering/PLC programming experience* 2-4 years of experience in a related field
