Our dynamic and rapidly growing manufacturing company is seeking a seasoned Controls Engineer to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Automation, Control Systems Design, CAD, Systems Integration, and Project Management. This role requires 5+ years of relevant experience in the manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for:
1. Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated control systems for our manufacturing processes.
2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project objectives, gather automation requirements, and design control systems that meet these requirements.
3. Using CAD software to create detailed designs and schematics for control systems.
4. Conducting system integration, ensuring that all elements of the control system work together seamlessly.
5. Overseeing the installation, calibration, and testing of control systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and safely.
6. Troubleshooting and resolving any issues with the control systems, including performing regular maintenance and upgrades.
7. Managing project timelines, resources, and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
8. Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies, standards, and best practices in control systems engineering and automation.
9. Providing technical support and training to other team members as needed.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related technical field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in controls engineering, specifically within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience with Automation, Control Systems Design, CAD, Systems Integration, and Project Management.
4. Proficiency in using various software for designing and programming control systems.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex control systems.
6. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical team members.
8. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
