Selectek is partnering with a company located near Greenville, South Carolina to fill a Controls Engineer role on a contract-to-perm basis. This client serves large manufacturing clients and governmental/defense agencies, so candidates in this role will be focused on PLC programming.
Employment Type: Contract to Permanent
Expected Pay Range: $50-$60 per hour depending on experience, prior to conversion
Location: Greenville, SC
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience working in automation and controls design
- Proficiency with Allen-Bradley (A-B) systems will be crucial
- Knowledge of PLC programming from scratch
- Fanuc or Kuka Robotics knowledge is a must
- Ideal candidates also have experience with Vision Applications
In addition to these requirements, candidates must hold United States citizenship, per the clients request. Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.
Job Details: Candidate will program PLCs from scratch through completion along with some modifications of other PLC programming as well. This person will review specs, put together sequence of operations for review for clients, and collaborate with Electrical Engineers on the custom projects. This is a role that is heavier in PLC Programming and less design of Controls.
