The Opportunity
Williams International has an exciting opportunity for an Controls Engineer to join our team.
This position is 100% onsite and no remote or hybrid is available at this time
*The Controls Engineer will also be responsible for:*
- Design of control systems for jet engine test cells' systems and test rigs
- Layout and design of electrical and electronic hardware enclosures
- Layout and design of electrical wire harnesses
- Implementation and tuning of control systems
- Documentation and drawings of designs and analyses
- Interface with and collect requirements from internal and external customers
- Troubleshoot and assist repairs of existing test cell control and electrical systems
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Controls or Mechatronics Engineering and 2+ years of related experience
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) programming and hardware configurations
- Able to travel between Pontiac, MI and Walled Lake, MI
- Knowledge of Electronic schematics reading and troubleshooting
- Basic hands on electrical and electronic tools and fabrication techniques
- Basic knowledge of instrumentation and data acquisition
- U. S. Citizenship is required
- Position requires the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U. S.
