All about the role:
In this role you will be reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager for ElectroluxGroup. You will be based in Springfield, TN and this role is onsite. The Controls Technician willhelp support the Controls department in troubleshooting of production equipment controls failures and correction to ensure it operates properly. Controls Technicians work in areactionary way for reducing unscheduled equipment controls related downtime and performplanned improvement projects to reduce and eliminate controls failures. The Controls Technician will be the equipment controls expert, assisting Maintenance as requested for the assigned shift to troubleshoot and repair machine controls related issues. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently as possible and in a team atmosphere as required, using their technical and communication skills to correct or improve equipment controls.
What you’ll do:
- Provide technical controls support to all Maintenance Technicians, Process Technicians, and Engineers
- Assist Maintenance with the daily support of machine controls downtime issues
- Ensure immediate controls intervention as required to solve any equipment controls issues relevant in the field and follow up actions necessary
- Provide daily reports of shift controls activities, issues and resolution, emerging issues and concerns
- Communicate, and cooperate with engineering and operations to maximize production uptime
- Ensure adherence to safety rules and standards and maintain good housekeeping
- Be available prior and after shift to ensure a timely shift transition
- Perform scheduled controls improvement tasks and projects as assigned by the ControlsEngineers
- Practice continual efforts consistent with minimizing scrap, rework, and controlling costs of expendables and product

Qualifications Required:
- Mechatronics Associates Degree (or similar) from an accredited university 4+ years experience in an automated manufacturing environment
- PLC troubleshooting and program updates - Siemens TIA Portal or Allen-Bradley
- HMI troubleshooting - Siemens Comfort Panel or Allen-Bradley FactoryTalk
- Proficient in Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Salary info:
$24 - $24 / hr
