If you answered “yes” to these questions, the American Soybean Association’s (ASA) Meetings & Conventions team in St. Louis would like to speak with you!
American Soybean Association’s special projects coordinator assists with the planning and execution of America’s largest farmer-led, farmer-focused annual convention and trade show, Commodity Classic. The Commodity Classic is produced jointly by American Soybean Association and National Corn Growers Association, along with affiliate partners National Sorghum Producers, National Association of Wheat Growers, and Association of Equipment Manufacturers.
The role includes:
- Assisting with compiling and communicating event details for publication in printed and digital platforms, including the registration brochure, program guide, website, and mobile app.
- Assisting with coordinating logistics for the educational program, including communicating with suppliers and session sponsors.
- Coordinating show signage to ensure participants know where to be and when.
- Working with the Destination Management Company to select the tours, National Anthem performer, color guard, and lobby entertainment.
A farmer-led organization, the American Soybean Association has served as the national trade organization that advocates on behalf of U.S. soybean farmers on domestic policy issues and international trade issues for more than 100 years. ASA represents the collective voice of 500,000 soybean growers in 30 soybean-producing states.

What we need:
- Strong spoken, written, and listening communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills while focused on the details.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Experience with project management or meeting planning preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Drive applications.
- Knowledge of PheedLoop event platform and Constant Contact a plus.
- Position requires travel two-three times per year.
