Stella Maris partners with the Jesuits and staffs the Colombiere Jesuit Retirement Facility on Roland Ave.This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside dedicated clinicians to meet the needs of the fathers and brothers of the Jesuit Order. Like the Sisters of Mercy before us, we provide excellent clinical and residential services within a community of compassionate care.

To prepare all foods as assigned, following established recipes and procedures

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Prepares meals using recipes
• Accomplishes pre-preparation of foods for future meals.
• Assures that all food items are portioned properly and appropriate temperatures are maintained and logged prior to each meal.  Reports any problems to the Executive Chef.
• Follows all proper food handling requirements according to HACCP guidelines.
• Assists with food preparation for special events as requested.
• Properly and thoroughly cleans and sanitizes all equipment and work surfaces after each use.  Keeps station areas clean and orderly prior to breaks and end of shift.
• Consistently uses correct sanitation procedures and equipment, to include proper handwashing, wearing hair net, and using plastic gloves.  Calibrates all thermometers twice weekly and records same

High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum one (1) year of experience
