Our Employee Family is seeking a Full time cook. Schedule 6a -2p.m.

Heartland Country Village, located in Black Earth, Wisconsin, right next to the Shoe Box on US Highway 14; with free parking on site, 40 minutes from Madison, Wisconsin, and within walking distance of great lunch-break restaurants, wants to talk to you and discuss this career opportunity.

This full-time, hands-on position, will be creating meals for the residents in the facility supporting this skilled and long-term care location. This employee family offers care for 25 residents and patients who rely on us for life enrichment and quality of care.

Your Job Position
Prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, with established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Lead Cook and the Dietary Manager to assure that quality food service is always provided.

Essential Job Functions

• Review menus prior to preparation of food.

• Inspect special diet trays to assure that the correct diet is served to the resident.

• Assist in establishing food service production line, etc., to assure that meals are prepared on time.

• Process diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Services.

• Prepare food for therapeutic diets in accordance with planned menus.

• Prepare food in accordance with standardized recipes and special diet orders.

• Prepare and serve bedtime snacks.

• Be sure that appropriate equipment and utensils are provided with the resident's meal tray.

• Prepare and serve substitute foods to residents who refuse foods served.
