QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: Must possess, as a minimum, a 10^th^ grade education
One (1) year dietary experience in a hospital or health care facility preferred (but notnecessary)
Physical: Able to stand for long periods of time; able to lift in excess of 20 pounds

RESPONSIBILITIES: 1
Checks menu for the day, and plans work accordingly
Defrosts meats for future cooking

Prepares food to be served hot, as called for on the menu; prepares some dessert for dinner or supper
Spaces and times the cooking of vegetables to preserve their appearance, flavor, and nutritional value

Serves hot foods, plates individual meals for Residents, personnel, and guests

Cleans and washes small equipment used in cooking; keeps own work area clean
5
Checks refrigerators for leftovers daily; plans to freeze them, use them or dispose of them
[Pay rate ranges from $11-$14/hr
depending on experience
[Evening shift does have an additional shift pay of $1.25/hr
