Job Summary:
Prepare food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
· Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards, per dupe from servers.
· Ability to cook on line, preparing banquet food items and employee meals.
· Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to prepare over estimated needs.
· Date all food containers and rotate as per the SOP, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures.
· Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set-up. Note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages. Assists in keeping buffet stocked.
· Return all food items not used on next shift to designate storage areas, being sure to cover/date all perishables.
· Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems; control food waste, loss and usage per SOP.
· Assist in prep work of vegetables and condiments as required for the next shift.
· Other duties as assigned or as needed to create signature moments for our guests.
Requirements:
· Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
· Must be detail-oriented and thorough.
· Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English to complete work efficiently, effectively, and courteously.
· Ability to manage your time efficiently
· Must maintain a high standard of personal appearance and grooming while wearing a uniform and name tag.
Education and Experience:
· High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
· Minimum one-year food service experience or related work
· Considerable knowledge of catering policies and procedures.
· Must pass a background check
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to operate, maintain and properly clean a deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, over, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, flat top grill.

- Schedule may vary Monday – Sunday
- 8-hour shift

Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods standing and walking and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.
· Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds at times.
· Must be able to work at a fast pace.
