About the Job
The 340B Coordinator is expected to have a thorough understanding of the 340B Program, as well as all software systems utilized for the 340B Program; will be responsible for managing registration and participation in the 340B Program for all 340B Covered Entities and ensuring the organization is fully compliant with 340B Program regulations and guidelines; will be responsible for, and involved in, all operational 340B-related activities, such as 340B ordering and purchasing processes, invoices and inventory processes, and 340B audits. The Coordinator will work in conjunction with Pharmacy Technician Buyer/340B Analyst to ensure 340B drug purchases maximize pharmaceutical cost savings; will collaborate with pharmacy leadership to routinely review 340B policies and procedures, formulary pricing, and potential additional savings; responsible for adherence to and maintenance of 340B-related policies and procedures. The Coordinator will perform essential duties and responsibilities of a Registered Pharmacist when needed to ensure the availability of medications to the patients at all times.

Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
• Assure annual HRSA recertification completion for all covered entities and appropriately register any new sites.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the 340B Program and all software systems/applications (e.g. Split-Billing system) utilized for the 340B Program.
• Maintain responsibility for all operational 340B-related activities such as ordering, purchasing, invoices, and inventory processes, and all 340B audits.
• Establish and update 340B policies and procedures to ensure the organization and all covered entities are fully compliant with 340B Program regulations and guidelines.
• Work in conjunction with Pharmacy Technician Buyer/340B Analyst in ensuring 340B drug purchases maximize pharmaceutical cost savings (i.e. evaluate and assist in implementing cost savings opportunities) and that facility and contract pharmacies stay compliant with 340B Program regulations and guidelines.
• Develop quarterly and annual 340B audits and reports to clearly document utilization, savings, exceptions, or discrepancies.
• Involved in presenting and resolving reconciliation issues as they arise during the monitoring and reconciliation process.
• Oversee utilization and 340B purchasing records to ensure software and tools are functioning properly. Collaborate with pharmacy leadership to routinely review 340B policies and procedures, formulary pricing, potential alternatives, and potential additional savings.
• Expand professional development through related classes and seminars, current publications, and regional/national association membership participation.
• Perform all essential duties and responsibilities of a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) when needed to ensure the medications are delivered to patients in a timely manner.
• Maintain all certifications and registration required for a RPh.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor of Science degree required.
• Doctor of Pharmacy degree highly preferred.
• Current State of Texas License as a Registered Pharmacist.
• Preferred at least 1 year of 340B Compliance Program experience in healthcare.
• Proficiency in common office productivity software and operating systems such as Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Must be proficient with a computer, well-organized, and adaptable to various levels of job-related stress and interruptions.
