Responsibilities:
- Manage administrative tasks in a medical setting, including patient scheduling, record-keeping, and coordination of appointments.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of patient medical records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Calling to schedule patient appointments
- Managing patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
- Facilitate insurance verification as needed
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized medical office environment
- Provide administrative support to healthcare professionals, such as preparing documents, reports, and correspondence.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless communication and workflow within the healthcare facility.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an administrative medical assistant or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, procedures, and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, colleagues, and healthcare providers.
- Knowledge of insurance verification (preferred)
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate medical records.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in medical administration is a plus.
