Patient Flow Coordinator Position Summary
The inventory, distribution/delivery of medications is required for all Patient Care area Positions. Responsible for the overall movement of patients through the organization in a safe and efficient manner. Improve the communication and coordination between patient care units, departments, clinical teams and external organizations/providers.
Patient Flow Coordinator Position Requirements
Education
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with a Baccalaureate Degree in nursing preferred.
- Licensed and current registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland or compact licensure state.
Experience
- A minimum of five years in an acute care nursing environment, critical care or ED preferred
- A minimum of one year in a supervisory role desired (clinical supervisor, manager or nursing supervisor) - other supervisory experience will be considered based on the overall experience of the candidate
- ACLS desired upon hire or obtained within 6 months
Patient Flow Coordinator Work Schedule
- 12 hour shifts.
- Weekend rotation.
- Holiday rotation.
