Job SummaryThe JU Processor plays a vital role in providing administrative support to the Engineering and Operations teams by processing and submitting joint-use pole attachment applications. This position ensures compliance with codes, policies, and procedures while maintaining accurate records in systems like NJUNS, ALDEN, and Site Tracker. The JU Processor is responsible for the efficient submittal of pole attachment applications and the timely handoff of projects to the downstream Make Ready Team. Previous experience with joint-use or permit submission is essential for this role.

- Pole Attachment Application Processing:
Utilize NJUNS, ALDEN, and Site Tracker to review, prepare, and submit pole attachment applications. Ensure that all applications are processed in a timely manner and in compliance with joint-use standards. - Handoff to the Make Ready Team:
After successfully submitting pole attachment applications, coordinate the smooth handoff of projects to the downstream Make Ready Team, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate. - Data Management and Documentation:
Maintain detailed records and databases for joint-use applications in systems like NJUNS, ALDEN, and Site Tracker. Ensure data integrity and accuracy for efficient project tracking and reporting. - Compliance and Record Keeping:
Ensure that all pole attachment applications comply with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) and other regulatory requirements. Keep accurate documentation for inspections, permits, billing, and code compliance. - Collaboration with Stakeholders:
Coordinate closely with internal teams (Engineering, Operations, Make Ready) and external stakeholders to ensure timely application submission and project progression. Maintain clear and effective communication between teams. - Customer Service and Communication:
Provide prompt and professional responses to inquiries related to pole attachment applications. Ensure that internal and external stakeholders receive accurate information to support joint-use project timelines. - Problem Solving and Issue Escalation:
Identify any issues that may delay the processing or submission of pole attachment applications and escalate them to the Market Manager or appropriate team for resolution. - Special Projects:
Participate in special projects as assigned to meet department goals and improve joint-use processes.
- Expertise in Application Processing:
Proven experience in processing and submitting pole attachment applications, with a strong understanding of joint-use or utility permitting processes. - System Proficiency:
Proficient in using NJUNS, ALDEN, and Site Tracker to process applications, manage data, and track project progress. - Data Management and Documentation:
Strong skills in managing large datasets and maintaining detailed records related to joint-use applications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required. - Collaboration and Communication Skills:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with internal teams and external partners. Ability to maintain professional relationships and coordinate between multiple stakeholders. - Organizational and Multitasking Abilities:
Ability to manage multiple applications simultaneously while ensuring accuracy and timely submission. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are critical. - Adaptability and Initiative:
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and demonstrate initiative in addressing issues and resolving application processing challenges. - Work Ethic and Independence:
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver results.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree in Engineering or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of two years of experience in joint-use, permit submission, or utility permitting processes is required.
- Experience using NJUNS, ALDEN, and Site Tracker systems is highly preferred.
- Ability to work for extended periods in a stationary position while consistently using computer systems for processing and submitting applications.
- Frequent use of computers and technology devices for data management, application submittal, and project tracking.
