Who is the Copywriter?
The Copywriter collaboratively partners on diverse creative assignments, showcasing a passion for writing and a nuanced understanding of traditional and digital media demands. The focus is on creating impactful work that not only stands out but also achieves practical success.
The Copywriter actively contributes to the development of innovative cross-channel deliverables across various platforms, including TVCs, social media, digital, print, and OOH. With a commitment to fearless creativity and the ability to deliver quality work in time constraints, you possess a talent for storytelling and effective idea presentation. This role is characterized by collaboration, organization, and accountability, emphasizing the importance of being a genuinely positive team member and playing a key role in the group's creative endeavors.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Write copy from concept to end-product, with the ability to self-manage multiple projects and tight timelines.
- Play a hands-on role in the delivery of outstanding creative and results, working collaboratively within a cross-disciplinary team and environment (creative teammates, strategists, project managers and account team) to ensure creative work is on-brand, works hard and stands out amongst the rest.
- Ensure consistency and efficacy of copy throughout all creative.
- Work within the client's established brand guidelines, with the ability to write in multiple styles to ensure tone and language is appropriate for a particular brand personality.
- Leverage talent for copy and the written word to contribute to entire campaigns that solve for consumer needs and business goals.
- Bring to life ideas for new business pitches and existing clients across presentations and production. Successfully communicate creative ideas by confidently presenting your creative to leadership and by articulating and rationalizing creative decisions with strategic insights.
- Apply learnings to test a multitude of creative iterations and evolving best practices.
- Stay consistently relevant and up to date on all marketing trends and culture in effort to bring fresh ideas, sharing with peers and the broader team.
- Develop exceptional concepts for a wide range of advertising including branding, TV, social, digital, print, OOH and more.
- Appraise, edit, and proof your own work for accuracy and effectiveness.
- Work closely with project managers and account teams across the life span of a project to ensure success and work effectively and professionally with all stakeholders across all levels.
- Expertly utilize tools like InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Creative Suite, Slack and Google Slides to perform work.
- Embrace and implement creative feedback to improve work, demonstrating adaptability in creative development process; take direction from senior creatives and leadership.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What do You Need?
- 3+ years copywriting experience within an advertising/marketing agency or similar setting.
- In-depth knowledge of medical device marketing, including regulations and basic anatomy, to accurately communicate product benefits and features to healthcare professionals.
- Degree in English, Marketing, Communications or similar field (or equivalent knowledge and experience).
- Cross functional design and concepting experience.
- Proven record of impressive advertising collateral, campaign concepts, and other relevant creative endeavors, demonstrated by a digital portfolio.
- Excellent writing and copy skills.
- Experience writing general advertising and marketing copy is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Aptitude for design and concepting.
- Ability to think strategically, conceptualize and see ideas through to polished execution.
- Deadline- and goal-orientation.
